Bicycle Centre 1.0

Finland’s first Bicycle Centre gave cycling prominence on Narinkkatori Square in Kamppi in Helsinki. The structure, furniture and visual design were created as part of Design for Everyday Mobility. The services offered in the first summer included monitored bicycle parking, bicycle service tools available for borrowing, quick bicycle maintenance for a fee, and bicycle rentals. Set up as a proof-of-concept project, the Bicycle Centre also conducted a user survey for further development.
